I live in Acton and left on Thursday at 4.30pm last year and arrived at Green Man at about 6.30pm.
Speaking to other people I think I arrived in good time but I am interested in seeing how other people get to the festival.

If you were driving, that time suggests you were breaking the law at some point on your journey ;) - its about 160 miles from door to door.....
I took the train there and back last year. Took 4-5 hours from London from what I remember

I hit traffic somewhere around Sheffield last year and got stuck for about 45 minutes, so that slowed us down. Other than that though, we had plenty of stops and made the journey a leisurely one, which was pleasant.
I think the journey back was a bit quicker, what with the idea of a hot bath at the end of it.
