Whats it like when it rains ? Does it turn into a mudfest or is the drainage ok ?

In 2006 it rained heavily on the Thursday night there and there were a few showers over the weekend but it was generally ok. The Folkey Dolkey stage was in the top field behind the main stage. Also there were only 5000 people compared to 10000 in 2007 and this year.
Last year though it rained on the Friday which caused big problems as the layout had changed. My memory is a bit foggy but as I recall, there were market stalls approaching the main wrist band check area into the site with the Folkey Dolkey tent just behind. This approach got very squelchy and there was no way of avoiding it. Similarly the path towards the main stage was quite bad but beyond that it was better as the area was a lot larger and more open.
It will depend on the layout of the site again this year which may even change again, but you will need wellies or a pair of old boots and be prepared to trudge though a bit of mud at times.!

WE DO NOT TALK OF RAIN EVER. There will be no rain in Glanusk. I have had a sign from the weather gods. Me, I've got so much faith I'm not even taking a tent.

It honestly wasn't bad at all last year considering how much it rained.
You definitely needed a pair of wellies as the the area outside the folkey dokey stage and the entrance to the stages from the camping area was really muddy but everywhere else was ok. Our camping area stayed grassy and green the whole time.
It was nothing like as bad as glasto (I went there too last year and it was ridiculously hard work). Fingers crossed we'll have lovely weather this year but as long as you're prepared it'll be amazing even if it does rain.
Just bring wellies, waterproof trousers and a camping chair and you'll be set!

Weather reports are irrelevant as the Glanusk Park micro climate rules all I'm afraid. Come rain or shine, plague or locusts, with a tune in my heart, a bellyful of Pieminister and a liver steeped in Wye Valley, I will be happy.
