Stupid place to put on an Lou Rhodes and Badly Drawn Boy
Aug 19, 2008, 19:15
I really enjoyed the festival but what a silly place to put on Lou Rhodes.

It was so cramped that I didn't enjoy the performance.

I really wanted to see Badly Drawn Boy but went to see the Furries instead which I like but not as much.

Please next year put on big acts on big stages?

Yeah the missus said the same, but to be honest I thought Badly Behaved Boy fitted a stupid corner. Damon acted like a spoilt boy kicking chairs about on stage and wining at the sound man, stopping songs then starting again with no real feeling in them. Shame, I used to like his songs. Thought he was a pro. He was a cool Dad to bring his 2 offspring on for a sing song though. Verdict - I recon you were better off out of there mate!

Yes - couldn't even get into the Cafe area to try to see Lou Rhodes, and she was on my list of must see acts.

I saw BDB at T in the Park a few years ago, he acted exactly the same, smacking his guitars on stage and generally acting like an arse. I actually thought this was a better performance than on that occaision.
