THE GREEN MAN FESTIVAL - GREEN POLL*

Unlike other competitions, Green Poll is all about the music and the
fans, there’s been no hidden agenda, just a good old fashioned,
credible talent contest. After 7 weeks, 50,000 visitors to the site,
300,000 page views, 287 bands (including established artists putting
themselves on the line and opening themselves up to the critical
voters), and 22,000 votes (from not only the UK but Spain, France, US,
Canada, Ireland, Italy, Holland, Iceland, Norway, Germany, Portugal

Booger Red has been very involved in the folk scene for over a
decade. He is a fantastic performer and really deserves to be on
the play list at the Greenman. His music is perfect for this
event. I so hope you get the opportunity to see him play live on

How brilliant is this band? they have so much support from those
who know their talent, enthusiasm and pure dedication, i love

WOW I have been woken from my psychadelic music slumber, this
song made me wanna sell my soul to the genre. I'll keep voting
until justice has been served and I see this band on the bill.

I have really enjoyed this competition and had an opportunity of seeing some great bands.
I am dissapointed Gintis didn't win but with these sort of stats it must have given all the bands involved a real opportunity to promote themselves.
Its been a clever idea that everyone wins from.
