sunday night pile up

almost no bands i want to see this year
and then three of them on at the same time, headlining each stage on the sunday night
if i wasn't so relaxed, i'd be uptight...

Yeah, it's a bit annoying. I'll definitely be watching Pentangle though unless they're disappointing this Sunday at the RFH.
I don't think the line-up is as good this year as the previous 2, but is it really that bad for you? There's at least 2/3 acts I want to see each day which is enough.

Wow - strange reaction! I cannot wait to see Black Mountain, The Cave Singers, Junior Boys, Richard Thompson, Howlin' Rain, Iron and Wine, The National, Damien Jurado, Nina Nastasia, Little wings and as usual come away having become a fan of loads of bands I hadn't heard of previously! And that's just the music stages!!

Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed that Pentangle clash with Caribou. I'll probably go with Caribou.
I was disappointed with the line up until a few weeks back. Now I look at the list, and that's a lot of great music for one weekend: James Yorkston, Caribou, Pentangle, Richard Thompson, The Cave Singers, The War on Drugs, Junior Boys, Nina Nastasia...

it'll be great
and i'll have a fantastic time
just like every year
the atmosphere will win out
but that sunday night thing just capped my growing disappointment with the booking policy this year
there WERE enough bands i was going to like to get me through
until they put three of them on at the same time!
i'm hoping to be able to catch some of pentangle after kyle
but still...
anyhow
i'm just being grouchy on line
i'm much nicer in person...

I've got a Saturday night pile up, as well as a Sunday evening pile up..
Sat:
Badly Drawn Boy or Lightspeed Champion or Super Furry's (I think I'll choose Lightspeed Champ)
Sun:
Nina Nastasia or The National ? (which one? Hmmm.)

So how do the timings work for each performer? Do all three stages start at the same time
or are they staggered? Thanks.

I'm sure the Mainstage and Folkey Dolkey were staggered last year - my memory is a bit hazy - But with distance between the stages this year I'll have to be fit !!

Yeah, they were staggered slightly. I definitely caught 1/2 Robert Plant songs after battles had finished on the Sat night.

Yeah it was staggered last year for sure - was able to catch bits and pieces of sets across both stages.
So, what are Caribou like exactly? Think I'll go for Pentangle though, out of curiosity.
