Simple question. I am a crap guitarist and a crap singer, should I bring my guitar and have a go anyway ?

Yes please! Open mic was my highlight last year. Excellently compered by relaxed folky geezers, who tended to join in on a variety of instruments. Some really good people played and some just had a go with what they could do. Only problem was it was on too early in the morning (oh, and they had a gezebo rather than a tent, which blew away).

I say take your guitar! Last year, me and a mate paid half each for a cheap second-hand acoustic (I think we paid £25 for it), and decorated it with a Tipp-Ex pen.
Even if you don't fancy the open mic stage, the late night camp fire is a brilliant place to go and play a few tunes. We sat down on a big log and passed the guitar around, and people came over to sit with us, some joining in, some just watching and enjoying the vibe. Great days.

How does the open mic work? Do you just turn up on the day and put your name on the list? And what time is it on does anybody know?
I missed it last year and wouldn't mind getting involved this year. . .
