Magical moments from previous greenmans

Mine (well one of them) from last year was when James Yorkston and some other people started jamming in the courtyard one night (I think it was the saturday) and they were singing that 'everything is gonna be alright' song by the beta band and everyone was singing along and it was lovely!

So many to remember! Hearing 'I Am The Resurrection' played by Richard Norris in the Rumpus Room at midnight 2006, Robert Plant singing 'Whole Lotta Love' last year - a real goose bump moment - the last thing he did before Led Zep re formed? Devendra inviting the girl from the crowd up on stage to sing last year. Seeing animations in the cinema tent full of screaming kids!

best: the moon coming up into that clear black sky during bonnie prince billy in 05

Joanna Newsom last year. Watching the candle balloons fly off into the sky. Lying in the cinema tent watching 70's science films. Rolling down hills in the dark and then getting lost. Pieminister. Falling asleep in the rain to Robert Plant and then waking up, freezing and soaked, as Whole Lotta Love starts to play. Watching Micah P. Hinson, and then standing next to him throughout the Silver Jews' set as he shouts out requesting his favourite songs. Drinking my bodyweight in cider and then wigging out in the rumpus room. The drunk man in the urinal trailers who kept insisting everyone called it the 'wazz van'. 10,000 people all happy and enjoying themselves.
Mostly Pieminister, though.

Here are some of my highlightd
silver jews 2 years ago- dave berman is a sex god! They are touring the uk at mo- maybe they can be persuaded to stay on in the uk til green man..I hope so...
Sausage casserole and potato stand- can't remember what it was called-something French I suspect- massive vats of gorgeous sauages- yum
Noah Georgeson singing Find Shelter with Devendra Banhart- actually the whole set was amazing- and the most gorgeous men!!!
Sunburnt Hand of the Man 2 years ago closing the festival...brilliant
Hot shower at around 7 in the eve- no queues and steaming hot water- beautiful and refreshing

Agreed on Devendra Banhart - was awful; hugely disappointing. I noticed that the girl who got pulled from the crowd to play - Beth Jeans Houghton - is on the lineup this year. She was the highlight of Devendra's set.
Magical moments from last year - Joanna Newsom and Battles. The food, so much to choose from, all good. Only a 15 min queue for a hot shower in the morning. The bonfire was fun each night. Great stuff happening in the courtyard. No-one allowing the mud to ruin the occasion. And everyone being jolly decent.

Hi guys, im a newbie to the greenman, i just brought my tickets and cant wait! Im especially intrigued by this 'pieminster' and lethal amounts of cider flowing that you lot have talked about!
