FAVOURITE ACT OF THE FESTIVAL?

Yes, the weather put a dampener(boom boom) on the weekend to a certain extent, but how about the bands?
For what it's worth:
Friday highlight: Drive-By Truckers
Friday silver medal: Truckers Of Husk
Friday bronze medal: Fuck Buttons
Spiritualized were my pre-festival must-see, but left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed, and, disappointingly, with a very unaltered mind...
Drive By Truckers though were wonderful, perfect Friday night party rock'n'roll.
Saturday highlight: Sonver
Saturday silver medal: SFA
Saturday bronze medal: Duke Garwood
Only went to the film tent because of the rain, managed to catch the whole set of Sonver, doing an amazing post-rock/psychedelic live soundtrack to an edit of 2001 Space Oddysey. Highlight of weekend for me, and definitley discovery of the weekend. Not even SFA could top it.
Sunday highlight: Los Campesinos!
Sunday silver medal: The Peth
Sunday bronze medal: Iron And Wine
Great to see SFA offshoot The Peth, but Los Campesinos! took the day for me.
I would write up on every band I saw, but I haven't the energy and I'd bore you lot stiff!

If I had to pick one it would be The National. Also suprised by how much I liked Iron and Wine and Richard Thompson.
I also was disapppointed Spiritualized. Haven't seem them/him live before, but was not impressed by the ego - spotlight on JP one side of the stage, bandmates in near darkness on the other side!

Actually, The National would have been up there for me had I seen more than 2 songs, both of which were excellent. After The Peth, I needed cider. No bar by the Folkey Dokey stage = farce.

Friday - King Creosote
Saturday - Archie Bronson Outfit / Badly Drawn Boy
Sunday - The National
I too was pretty underwhelmed by Spiritualized.
Can't wait to start guessing next year's line-up!!

The Cave Singers. Blew me away - a revelation.
The National - perfect for the last day of the festival.
Ben Ottewell at GM Cafe stage was pretty special too.

The Cave Singers were very special.
Closely followed by Caribou. Not allowing them an encore was a travesty.
