Hairstylin!

Hi there
I'm really looking forward to my first Green Man festival this weekend but have some hair control issues that need sorting out (In humidity and damp i frizz!!!) I know this may sound a little crazy but is there anywhere that i can get a nice blow dry (that's blow dry!!) on site?
Or, are there some plug points in the showers or toilet areas?
thanks xxx

I have avoided this every year I've been to the festival by going bald about 8 years ago.
Hope this helps.

I very much doubt it I'm afraid. I've seen blow dry places at glastonbury but there was nothing like that at greenman last year, there's not really enough people to make it viable. I'm pretty sure there's no plug sockets anywhere either.
If it's any consolation everyone else is in the same boat (unless they're bald!). I'll be using a combination of hats, scarves and plaits I expect.

My hair gets stupidly greasy very very quickly, and as i usually don't have a shower at the festivals, by friday afternoon i always have a hay firmly on my head for the rest of the weekend.. only advice i have i'm afraid!

If you are really desperate you can buy hair tongs which work on gas cartridge and do not need a power outlet (Braun cordless). Or take some Frizzease finishing cream which transforms frizz into gleaming curls. Personally I think the hat/scarf/unkempt look are all fine.

I love it when the festival season comes around as it gives an excuse to wear a hat!
If you live near a town with an Accessorize, check it out - they've got 70% off a lot of their hats. I picked up a railway-driver style cap and a straw cowboy type hat (girly style), about £8 for the pair.

Thanks for all your festival hair tips! I'm still going to sneak my hairdryer into the car anyway (you never know)!! but think i'll let the crazy hair run free as was suggested!!!

Talking of hair, I've just tried during my lunch hour to get my thatch under control. Walking in to the local gentleman's hair emporium to see two men being attended to and two further men waiting with hair that looks like they've just been cut, but no THEY ARE WAITING TO HAVE THEIR ALREADY WELL MANICURED FOLLICLES FURTHER SCRUTINISED, while I'm in urgent need of some scalp salvation. Don't you just hate that?
