What time can we get in?

It's looking like we may not be able to travel down til Friday morning, but do we have to wait til 10am to be able to get into the campsite, or is it just the main area that opens at 10?

hi there,
the campsite opens from thursday. I arrived thursday afternoon last year and the arena was open then as were most of the stalls.

Yes, you can arrive anytime after 10:00 on the Thursday. Arriving in the dark in probably not a good idea, but pitching your tent as the sun rises over the Beacons on Friday morning will be a life-affirming experience :-)

butting in on your thread - so does that mean that you can pitch your tent before 10am i was under the impression that you were unable to get in to pitch until 10am so my plans were to set off and reach park at 9.30am friday. if able to pitch before then it sounds like a good idea to set off early doors. :) Cheers, Here's to a fantastic weekend.

we got there at 1-2am last year with no problem getting in at all !!! although putting our 8 man tent up in the dark was a bit of a pain after a day at work and a 6 hour drive.

Your going again this year so the drive and putting up the tent in the dark couldnt have been sooo bad. Thanks for the info and have a good weekend.

If you're coming on the friday, you can get in from ten, this is what the faq says about the box office opening times, guess you need to be there then to get your wristbands :)
The Box Office will be open from 10am until 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10am until 8pm on Sunday. There will be no admission to the festival outside of these times.

No admission to the festival ... but you should be able to access the camping area. Then you can collect your wristbands from the box office when it opens and gain access to the arena area :-)

Thanks Peridot, that was the answer I was looking for! now what time does it get light - about 5am? We'll be quiet I promise!!!
