4 days to go Green Man Festival Site Update

The Green Man Festival site at Glanusk Park is looking lush and lovely, the mist is covering the top of the mountains, the air is clear and fresh and the landscape has the kind of clarity and bright definition that can only be found in somewhere as wonderful as this.
The crew are working very hard to build the event. You can feel the excitement in the air.
We have got a brand new Italian Circus Tent for the Rumpus room which is now in the camp fire field. It has blue and yellow stripes and its beautiful. Everyone here is very excited because its the tents first show.
The new late night piano bar is just beside the Rumpus Room and is up and about to be decorated by the decor teams.
The Green Man Cafe Bar and Stage are up.
Local farmers are bringing in the wood for the camp fire and piling it up so we can get a store going.
The Folkey Dokey Circus Tent is going up today, and the main stage will be finished tonight to.
Cwmdru School came in yesterday to talk about their Sausage and Cake stall. 70 volunteers made up of teachers and parents from this local school come in shifts to run this stall so the logistics are a little complicated but the sausages and cakes are all home made and legendary.
The income they achieve from the stall is reinvested into the school which has been threatened with closure. This would be very sad as schools and shops in rural areas form part of the communities and we want to support them in any way we can.
They did tell us yesterday that the mutton sausages were from sheep reared at Glanusk which has made a few of us a little uncomfortable. Silly really I know but we are a soppy lot.
Garland lighting is being laid around the site, and colored lights are being carefully placed in the Lime Trees walk near the walled garden.
The Literature Tent is up too.
Tomorrow the Science, Kids and Film Tent go up.
Happily we are all ahead of schedule...

Any chance of a map of the site please? I'm a first timer and I'd like to have an idea where stuff is so that I can choose a good spot to camp!
It sounds brilliant, glad it's all coming together!

Good to hear that things are going well, ahead of schedule even.
Anything going up where the Rumpus Room tent used to be?
Hope the rest of the preparations go to plan. Counting down the hours until Thursday :D

With 4 sleeps til Thursday I am fit to bust with excitement, this is our 3rd year at Greenmen and this year we bring friends. I've even (uncharacteristically) been organised checked out all the artists via the net and decided which ones to see and which to miss and have got all the camping gear out. This is our holiday this year so I'm making the most of it.
Kay
P.S. O'Death are an absolute must see, yak supported them in Cardiff a year or so ago and although it was a small audience, they generated so much energy in us that we came out grinning from ear to ear!

That would be a mighty good thing to have for those of us who are like excited children in the back of the car, are we there yet?
