I’ve been going to the Greenman Festival in Crickhowell for the last three years, being local I always get asked where the best place for a little local apple pop, apart from the extortionate tents you can travel into Crickhowell. There’s a little off licence called Bacchus mega little place sells allsorts of local traditional ciders and ales, its run by a young pair very enthusiastic and helpful well worth a visit everything you need to make this the bet Greenman Festival yet. (dont forget to support the local shops)

Sounds good, is it easy to find? It's not a local shoppe for local people then, no danger of a crossbow bolt in the back!!??!!

can it be decanted out of bottles? Perhaps you could pop in and have a word.....they could do a Greenman special.....be good to support a small independent rather than pouring into the coffers of the multinational......

I spoke to one of the owners a small blonde lady extremely helpful, they do cider in a bag in a box and cans of Hereford Cider and Strongbow cans/bottles. She informed me that its not illegal once purchased to transfer any beverages in to new containers, she suggested we bring empty containers i.e. coke bottles and transfer it in the car park next to the bottle banks, She said don’t worry something could be arranged.
Here is the web site give them a call if you need something.

I seem to remember that last year there was only one real ale available at the bars. It was ok but nowt to write home about. Any idea if the range of proper beer is going to be extended this year?

My friend sent this to the organizers of the Greenman, he is an events organizer in Taunton, and he had no reply.
I would like to know how you can stop the consumption of alcohol in the festival area,
I have just read my copy of the Licensing act 2003, I would like the paragraph and page number that states this most outrageous rule you are trying to enforce.
I fully appreciate that alcohol can not be consumed on the GROUNDS of the Glanusk estate, but within in an unlicensed (alcohol) caravan park rules of alcohol consumption is down to the individual.
This leads me onto my last point of decanting alcohol into plastic bottles, how do you expect to cram two dozen glass bottles of beverage into a bottle.
I look forward to your swift reply as I will publish it on the forums.
Many thanks
I think someone is being a killjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The glass thing is for heath and safely.. I wouldn't like to be wandering around a campsite at night with broken glass..
