Bringing my kids (7 & 4) to their first ever festival & people who have been to Green Man before tell me we are in for a treat!
I saw The National live a few months ago - awesome.

The Green Man is an ACE festie for you to take kids to - I cannot recommend it highly enough - as a single parent I have had a whale of a time with my 2 bairns at the last 2 festies :-)

Yep ... you won't find a better festival to bring kids to, they really do make an effort to cater for them.
And they'll also be a great help in lugging the camping equipment to and from the car park :-)

It depends on what you're use to and how much equipment you have. But some sort of sack truck / trolley / wheelbarrow is recommended.

I can't wait til I have kids - just so that I can take them to Greenman - they were all having such a great time! And they helped to create a lovely atmosphere that all the people without kids benefited from too.
If you've ever been to glastonbury then you'll find the walk from the car parks to the camping fields at greenman an absolute breeze (and there is a whole lot less faffing around to get in in the first place too). The trick is not to attempt to carry too much at a time and just accept that you will be going for a couple of nice ten / fifteen minute strolls back to your car to pick stuff up once you've settled on a good camping spot.

You can rent mine for the weekend if you want! In fact if you will carry our gear from the car park to the campsite they are yours!!!

No it doesn't & it must be great to get an occasional break, as much as we love them. Ours lack grandparents so we have never had an opportunity to hand them over for a night. It must be bliss! Not being woken up at daft o' clock in the morning, just once!!!

I did wonder about a sack truck for the heftier gear - I normally try to pack light but I'll be carrying all sorts of cooking gear and a tent, and a water barrel etc. etc.
votes "yes" to sack trucks...
