In search of the lovely cider I had at the greenman any ideas?
Mar 29, 2008, 02:43
I have just come back from a late one and have been in search of my cider experience at greenman...

Can't remember the make that was sold - actually can't remember a lot at this point.

A friend said it was Old Rosie but others disagree. Wondered if anyone knows?

It certainly wasn't Old Rosie. Had it been, I'd have remembered little else about the festival :-)

I think it was Stowford Press which is a very fine cider IMHO.

Could only be bettered by Thatchers Gold or (please, please) Brother's festival strength perry.

I think it was Addlestone's cider and it was great. Please Green Man can we have it again?

Is it true that the Green Man is the only festival that has a 24 hour drinks licence or does it just seem like it.

Can't wait for the 15th of August sound like you are in training now Bill?

I believe you're right - it was Addlestones cloudy cider.

you can purchase it from here, the only time I have had it since Greenman last year, was on a recent visit to London, I met an old friend in a pub in Camden called 'The Lord Stanley' and they had it on draft there, £3.40 a pint, but was worth it, i hope they stick to the same cider this year.

I'm sure I've bought it in Sainsbury's.
