Green Man, National Theatre and BFI
Jul 19, 2008, 12:18
I was at the British Film Institute and met a theatrical type who curates outdoor events for the the National Theatre, and British Film Institute he told me that "Fiona Stewart who organises Green Man Festival" was their outdoor event producer....very posh!!!

Will feel very thespy when chomping on my Pie

Do you think we should wear ruffles this year and say thee and thou?

cod piece or ruffle or maybe both..

But joking aside its pretty amazing that the festival has this level of production considering its a relatively small and uncorporate event.

Fiona Stewart if it is the same one ran the Big Chill festival before she was involved in the Green Man.

I was an Oxfam steward at that festival and she was the festival director or something. She gave a talk to the steward managers before the event started. She was really nice not like you would imagine someone in that sort of job, but there was no doubt she was in charge.

Interesting that she is involved in the Green Man

Polari sounds like she struck a note with you. Do you like a woman to be "in charge.":)

Really!

I am intrigued...

I will have to make an effort to look her up at the festival.

But I will be making a b-line to the bar by the stage first. There were a lot of lovelies working behind the bar last year.

It sounds like it will be open season for you then..

All those sort of adventure are long gone for me.

I will be camping in the family field with the wife and kids.

But its good to hear that festival romance and dalliance is still going strong.

Have fun ;)

PS

I agree the bar staff are hot!
