I am going to get myself a pair of gold wellies for this years festival, cos I will be mixing with the stars...
How glam - may even have a cocktail with my cider this year.
Just when I thought the line up couldn't get any better then this pops up..
Brilliant !!!!

no it is true I looked on their website?
they are reforming a band called the Peth with Super Furry Animals drummer Dafydd Ieuan along with Rhys Ifans, Dic Ben, Kris Jenkins and Mick Hilton.
I don't think it has been out long though.
This is massive don't know how this festival pulls these things out of the hat again and again, especially as its an independent.
Last year it was Robert Plant now this
How can they afford it?

I don't know how they can afford it either but they do. I think it must be because its such a respected gig to get.
I mean I can't believe Robert Plant charged the same as he did at the O2 gig otherwise the tickets would have been a lot more and the festival would have come with support from Nestle or Carling or some other dreadful corporate organisation..
I saw the Guardian this weekend and Green Man came out of it the best of any of the festivals. Great to see the comments made by one of organisers. Been waiting for someone to have the gumption to speak up about all this bull thats going on at the moment. These promoters must think festival goers are stupid if they think we believe all the hype.
The other promoters interviewed sounded so self promoting and smug in comparison. The Green Man came over as an event that really cares about what is real in festivals. The entertainment and the people. I think artists with any credibility buy into that and that is why they come to the Green Man.
Anyway it works I love it, and I agree this really is brilliant!!!

I don't really get the excitement about Rhys Ifans - I mean, he seems like a nice bloke & that but I've never seen him in a good film. Are people just getting a little star-struck? Personally, I'm more excited about these pies I've heard so much about.

Watch Enduring Love, or more importantly Not Only But Also where he plays Peter Cook, both good examples of how good he can be. As for The Peth, go to their myspace, you may be pleasantly surprised. They're class !!
