What is Green Poll?
Green Poll is the competition by Green Man Festival to let you decide a Green Poll entrant you want to see at this year’s festival. We are asking bands / artists (signed and unsigned) to register themselves on our site, and all you have to do is vote on who you want to see!!

What is the prize?
A band/ artists with the most votes will be invited to play at Green Man Festival 2008. The winner will also be given 6 tickets for their friends and family to come down. We will ask you to make your own way to the festival.

I’m an artist or have a band how do I enter Green Poll?
It’s easy, just register with your details and give us the details of a YouTube or a MySpace video of your band performing a song. Your profile and video will then be uploaded on to our site for the public to vote on.

Where and when will the winning bands play?
The winning band / artist will get the chance to open the Festival on the Folkey Dokey Stage stage on Friday 15th August. Other artists appearing on this stage include Black Mountain, Lightspeed Champion and Nina Nastasia. The winner will be notified of timings prior to the event.

Who can vote?
Anybody can vote so long as they registered with a username and password.

Is there a limit on how often I can vote?
Each user is limited to one vote per day.

I have voted, what happens next?
Once you voted we will enter you into a prize draw for a pair of free tickets for the Green Man Festival. You will be notified via email by the 1st August 2008 if you are a winner.

How is the competition judged?
Green Poll is judged by the music / festival loving public.

I think some bands are cheating!
We are really pleased that there has been such a great response to this competition and that so many people have got involved.
Please feel assured that your vote really counts and that the site is constantly monitored for irregular voting patterns.
Just to clarify you can vote for as many bands as you like but you can only make one vote per band per day.
Any bands who cheat will be disqualified as to do anything else would be unfair to the many artists who are keeping within the rules of the competition.

How long is Green Poll running for?
Green Poll will be running until 28th July 2008. Winners will be notified by the 1st of August 2008
